Practical tips

  • We recommend reading our Starting University Guide for Students with Disabilities, which provides essential information, resources, and tips to help you navigate your new academic environment with confidence. You can access the guide here.
  • We encourage students to attend the In-Person Transition to University Event at TUS. This event is designed specifically for neurodivergent students and students with disabilities who plan to study at TUS. It aims to address concerns, provide practical support, and share valuable guidance to help ease the transition to college life.The session is hosted by the TUS Athlone Student Counselling Service and includes an optional 1:1 campus tour following the information session, allowing you to familiarise yourself with the campus in a supportive and personalised way. The next event will take place in August 2025
  • Watch Student Resource Centre video which showcases the various supports available to students, with service providers briefly explaining the services they offer. You can watch the video here.
